The act of non-doing or non-action which is called Wu Wei is an important concept in Taoism, these drawings investigate and map this concept in my own divergent art practice. Wu Wei is the cultivation of a mental state in which our actions are quite effortlessly in alignment with the flow of life. I try to understand and utilize that mental state, by the act of drawing, mark-making, and painting.
